چکیده
In order to improve the heat transfer between high-temperature sinter and cooling gas in a vertical shaft cooler, new furnace type with variable-diameter structure was proposed, influence of on gas–solid vertical-shaft cooler studied by CFD-DEM coupling method current work. The results show that can increase quantity low-temperature as well outlet temperature, uniformity temperature along width, at cost significantly increasing pressure. By changing parameters structure, it found smaller width section or larger angle contraction led better sinter–gas transfer. pressure more obvious. It is suggested when designing using consideration should be given effect exchange gas. Furthermore, occurrence material blockage excessive equipment height avoided.

Two-phase heat transfer is experimentally examined through vertical small diameter tubes, D =1.45 and 2.8 mm using water under a pressure of 50 to 81 kPa and a natural circulation condition. The pool boiling correlation by Stephan-Abdelsalam and the thermosyphon boiling correlation by Imura, et al. predict the measured experimental data in the 2.8 mm tube with an error of -30%. A large heat tra...
متن کاملCFD Simulation of Porosity and Particle Diameter Influence on Wall-to-Bed Heat Transfer in Trickle Bed Reactors
Wall-to-bed (or wall-to-fluid) heat transfer issues in trickle bed reactors (TBR) has an important impact on operation and efficiency in this category of reactors. In this study, the hydrodynamic and thermal behavior of trickle bed reactors was simulated by means of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technique. The multiphase behavior of trickle bed reactor was studied by the implementation of ...
